Spring Cleaning & Recycling Event


The local organization known as Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful is working hard this Spring, with multiple clean up events coming up!  These are opportunities for the community to come together, make an impact, and enhance the beauty and environmental health of our beloved Soddy-Daisy. 

Registration is required to participate, so don't miss out…Your participation is what makes these events successful and meaningful. 

Cleanup Challenge
  • When: From April 19 to April 25
  • Instructions: Join the Earth Day Clean-Up Challenge!  Teams compete to collect the most litter and clean up our community.  Gather your friends, family, or neighbors - teams can be as small as 2 or as big as 100.  This challenge is open to residents of Hamilton County, and surrounding areas.

The North Hamilton County Recycling Event
“We’re dedicated to making recycling easier and more accessible for our community. From mattresses to e-waste and sneakers, we’re covering a wide range of recyclables to help clean up our environment.”  - Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful 

Main Recycling Event
  • When: April 20th, 2024, 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Where: Soddy Lake Park, 197 Durham St, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379
  • Recycling all kinds of things you wouldn’t normally be able to recycle. This includes but is not limited to batteries, electronics, ink cartridges, mattresses, and sneakers.  Please visit the webpage for more information on accepted recyclables.
Extended Recycling Hours 
  • The Sequoyah Recycle Center at 9525 Lovell Rd, Soddy-Daisy, TN 37379, will have extended recycling hours from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday the 22nd - Saturday the 27th, (Closed Sunday).  View accepted items.
Tire Recycling
  • When: Monday through Thursday: 8 am to 6 pm,  and Friday and Saturday: 8 am to 4 pm
  • Clean tires without rims accepted for $1.00 per passenger tire; $4.00 per semi or larger tire. All tires must be able to be handled by hand. Tires must be relatively clean. Dirty tires cannot be accepted.


Later in 2024
  • There are also talks of clean-ups to be planned for the months of May, September, and November.  Stay tuned!
